Welcome to Harklo. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Harklo.
By creating an account or using Harklo, you agree to these Terms.
Harklo is a messaging app for voice memos, video memos, text messages, reactions, threaded conversations, and group conversations.
Harklo is under active development. This means the app may change, contain bugs, be unavailable at times, or stop operating certain features as we test and improve the service.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login information secure.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to use Harklo only for lawful purposes.
You may not share your account with someone else or use another person’s account without permission.
You are responsible for the messages, voice memos, videos, reactions, text, profile information, and other content you create or send through Harklo.
You keep ownership of your content. By using Harklo, you give us permission to store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use your content only as needed to operate, maintain, improve, and protect the app.
This includes processing content to deliver messages, show conversations, generate transcripts, send notifications, provide support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain app security.
You agree not to use Harklo to:
We may remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or delete accounts if we believe these Terms have been violated or if needed to protect users, Harklo, or others. Section 5 explains how to report a violation and how quickly we respond.
Harklo has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that harasses, threatens, or exploits another person, and content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative, is not permitted on Harklo under any circumstances.
If you encounter content or behavior that breaks these rules, you can:
We review every report within 24 hours. Where we find a violation of these Terms, we remove the offending content and act on the account responsible — which may include a warning, suspension, or permanent removal from Harklo. We may act without prior notice where the content or conduct is serious.
You can also report content or conduct directly to harklosupport@proton.me. Please include enough detail for us to identify what you are reporting.
When you send content in Harklo, it may be visible to the people in the relevant conversation or group.
Group conversations may include admins, members, pending invites, and privacy settings that affect who can join or participate.
You are responsible for what you choose to send and who you choose to communicate with.
Harklo may generate transcripts of audio or video content. Transcripts may not always be accurate.
You should not rely on transcripts as perfect records of what was said. Harklo may process audio or video content through third-party transcription providers to provide this feature.
If you enable notifications, Harklo may send push notifications about messages, reactions, threads, group invites, and unread counts.
Notification previews may include message or sender information depending on your settings. You can change notification settings in the app or through your device settings.
Harklo is under continuous development. Features may be incomplete, experimental, or removed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.
You should not rely on Harklo as your only copy of important information.
Your use of Harklo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.
You may delete your account from within the app where available. Account deletion may remove your profile and associated content where technically and legally feasible.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or records needed for security, legal compliance, or fraud prevention.
Harklo uses third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, notifications, transcription, crash reporting, and related operations.
We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we choose providers that help us operate the app.
Harklo is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Harklo and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the app.
We may update these Terms as Harklo changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of Harklo after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
